"The Break-up"

 She broke him up,
 telling him she doesn't love him anymore.
 A minute of silence,
 then tears began to fall.
 She was waiting for him to say something,
 but all that she heard from him was "okay".
 The she decided to leave,
 waiting for him to grab her hand and ask her to stay.
 But he never did,
 and it broke her heart completely.
 She knows it was her fault,
 but she really wants to set him free.




 He heard her say,
 the words he never wanted to hear.
 In the middle of silence,
 his heart wants to disappear.
 All he could say was "okay",
 when she told him she doesn't love him anymore.
 His heart was breaking in silence,
 knowing he would never get over her.
 He didn't try to grab her hand,
 though he wanted to do it, he wants her to be happy.
 He knows he has his own fault,
 so he had let her go completely.

 My favorite poem !
 I can't remember what inspired me to write this but I'm really happy I was able to write this poem.
 I believe that you'll never know what a person truly feels or thinks unless you're in his own shoes. No matter how much we understand the situation, it could still possibly be a wrong interpretation depending on what that person feels. Just like in this poem, the girl broke up with his boyfriend but deep inside she doesn't really want to do it. She wants him to stop her, to hold her back and ask her to stay. The guy thought otherwise, he thought that she didn't want him anymore, he thought that she doesn't want him to stop her. So, no matter how much we try to understand what the other person really feels, we will never be right unless that person tells us what he feels.
